We are glad to inform you that AITWA is organizing its “ AITWA - Highway Heroes” National Convention ” on 11^th & 12^th of Nov 2019 at NDMC Convention Centre, Parliament Street, New Delhi. The Hon’ble Union Minister Sh. Nitin Gadkari has consented to be the Chief Guest. 

AITWA has undertaken a mega project named Highway heroes for the welfare of the entire community of truck drivers who ply vehicles on highways. Our scheme is multi-dimensional and includes provisions like free accident insurance, hospitalization expenses, education help to children of driver, training, and safety and most of all a centralized national helpline access where he will be helped in all possible manners in case of difficulty like an accident, attack by criminals, theft or any other harassment on a 24x7 basis. On the other hand, we also want to help the administration by conducting a check of registered drivers’ documents like driving license, Aadhar card, PAN card, etc. for genuinely. We have many more plans like providing rest houses for truck drivers etc.
